This was one of my very first adverts that I made when launching Paragon Pictures in 2016.
It was in collaboration with Manchester advertising agency Creative Spark for Ministry of Sound to advertise a compilation CD (remember those?). The advert was designed by creative director extraordinaire James O’Connell.
We looked at multiple approaches to creating neon jellyfish – commissioning a 3D test and a trip to Scarborough’s Sea Life centre to assess filming. In the end the best route was buying some great stock footage and hand animating on top.
My role was to produce but I did get wrangled into keyframing some tentacles alongside a post production team. This is a really special advert for me as it was one of the early ones under my own label.
